The Mayor of Priego de Córdoba, María Luisa Ceballos and the Director of the Andalusian Public Foundation El legado andalusí, Concha de Santa Ana presented an exhibition space that will show permanently the Foundation’s funds in Priego de Córdoba. The event was also attended by the Territorial Delegate for Culture and Historical Heritage of the Andalusian Government in Córdoba, Cristina Casanueva, and the Councillors for Culture and Tourism, Jezabel Ramírez Soriano and Juan Ramón Valdivia Rosa.

Priego de Córdoba has been, from the origins of the Andalusian Public Foundation El legado andalusí a relevant milestone of the Route of the Caliphate, that was the first of the Routes to be launched, and a model of tourist materialization for the rest of the Routes of El legado andalusí.

As a result of the relationship and collaboration established with the Town Council of Priego de Córdoba, the entrance to the Municipal Council will have a space dedicated to El legado andalusí.

Some of the exhibits that will be showcased in this exhibition area for periods of four to six months are a lute, replica of the one carved on Leyre’s ivory chest; a stamped jar, replica of the one found in Los Guájares and very similar to those found in excavations carried out in Priego de Córdoba, an astrolabe and a solar quadrant; a bushel measure for grain and an engraved map of the Kingdom of Granada.
