The Foundation

The Legacy of al-Andalus is a Public Foundation of the Andalusian Regional Government, operating under the Regional Ministry of the Culture and Sports. It has also the support of the Council of Europe and partnerships with a number of other public and private institutions.

The activities undertaken by the Foundation are based on the dissemination and preservation of the cultural and artistic heritage of Al-Andalus, and the role that Andalusian and Spain have played throughout history, both as a cultural bridge between East and West as regarding the relations among countries of the Arab world, the Mediterranean and Latin America.
