Today marks the opening of the exhibition Architecture of al-Andalus. Spaces and Visions, presented by the El legado andalusí Foundation in collaboration with the Town Council of Almonaster la Real (Huelva).

The exhibition, running from October 11 to 13, showcases around thirty large-format photographs that invite visitors on a visual journey through the most significant monuments from the Andalusi period across the Iberian Peninsula. Serving as a cultural complement to the Islamic Culture Days—now in their 25th edition—the event highlights the enduring legacy and architectural beauty of Al-Andalus.

Hosted at the Blas Infante Hall of the Town Council, the exhibition is expected to attract a wide audience — including participants of the Islamic Culture Days and visitors interested in exploring a period that profoundly shaped Spain’s rural and urban landscape. For towns and cities that safeguard this artistic legacy, such heritage acts as a catalyst for development through cultural tourism, preservation and educational and research initiatives, as exemplified by the Islamic Culture Days of Almonaster la Real.
